Shoebox Sunday (Operation Christmas Child at Summit)

This year, Summit Church is excited to host our Shoebox Sunday event in partnership with Samaritan’s Purse. Through Operation Christmas Child, we’ll be filling ordinary shoeboxes with toys, school supplies, and fun items that can become a child’s very first gift. These boxes are sent to children in need around the world, accompanied by the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Local churches in over 100 nations distribute the shoeboxes at festive outreach events where kids hear the Gospel in a friendly, approachable way. Each box—packed with a soccer ball, doll, stuffed animal, or other goodies—serves as a tangible expression of God’s love to the child, their family, and their community. Many recipients also have the opportunity to grow in faith through a 12-lesson discipleship program called The Greatest Journey.
